So, the Solo "admin" types have been talking, and the tentative agreement for local 2010 classes is to re-institute the Pro class, and not group ST classes.

Pro class is indexed, open to any that choose to run in it, awards, trophies, etc. the same as any other class.

Comments????

I agree. See post in ST Class thread.
BTW - I really like the new website. Good job Jim!

If we did, you'd probably be the only one running it, and you'd still be in the bump class. Unless you can think of someone else that would run it?

STR is going to be a national class, so I would think we would have the class -- we've always had other national provisional classes.

Might be more interest than you'd think, nobody wants to keep buying those Hoosiers all the time....

You think the S2000 guys might run it? That would be interesting.

I just looked up the rules, and it says the miata is eligible - but why run in STR instead of STS?

Yeah, I do, along with other eligible sports cars.

Just my opinion, but, I think stock class is dying a slow death (maybe not so slow). There's a reason that the ST classes have boomed in popularity and it's not people new coming into auto-x, it's people from other classes coming into ST....
