Posted by The August 2026 meeting of the WNY Region SCCA was called to order by Dave at 7:34 pm on August 4, 2026. The meeting was held virtually via Zoom.
Minutes: A motion to accept the minutes from the July meeting was submitted by Joe and seconded by Dave. The motion was passed by acclamation.
Treasurer: The treasurer was absent. We are taking it on faith he has not absconded with the region funds.
Membership: 183 members.
Club Racing: Nothing submitted.
Ice Racing: In 200 days.
Solo: A national tour was held this past weekend at Seneca Army Depot. Joe and Jim won their respective classes. Dave, Alex, Mike, and Carrie also trophied.
Another travel series event was held on July 19th. Good times were had by all. Current travel league standings can be found at the link here. The next event will be August 23rd at Seneca. Register here.
We have reached out to the Bills about scheduling a local event this season. They are still not booking events at this time. However, our lots have been repaved and there is a possibility they may be removing some of the guardrails.
New Business: We will be donating to the recovery fund for our friend and fellow competitor Aric Moench.
Old Business: We are obtaining a replacement title for the timing truck.
